People Weren't Feeling Ricky Martin's 4th of July Performance

Ricky Martin's 4th of July televised performance on Wednesday didn't exactly get a ton of love on social media.

Throughout the night, he sang several of his classic hits, including "Living La Vida Loca" and "Shake Your Bon Bon," but the interwebs were buzzing about how bad (they thought) his voice sounded.

People thought his voice changed so much over the years that he now sounds like Welsh singer Tom Jones.

I’ve seen him live 3 times, the first dating back to 2001, and he’s never been the strongest live singer. He sounds like he’s always sounded here.

Sounded like he had a bad cold and sore throat.

People who criticize a live performance that includes dancing around while singing in front of a live screaming audience because they expect it to sound like a studio recording are displaying their ignorance if not stupidity.  Ricky first recorded this song in 1999.  I saw Ricky in Vegas, he was awesome and the show was great.

Sounds like he was just trying to mix it up a little.

Artists do that, don't they?
